Growing up in Palos Verdes, Dr. Linda Swanson grew accustomed to surrounding herself with the sunshine and beauty of the South Bay. After graduating from Stanford Medical School, however, she left California to become the very first woman to complete plastic surgery residency at the University of Virginia. From there, she became one of the first women to complete plastic surgery residency at New York University. Dr. Swanson returned to the South Bay in 1990, as a highly trained specialist in plastic surgery with a focus on body contouring procedures.
