It is meant for contouring (reshaping) and not as a substitute for weight loss. The most common areas treated for women are, "saddle bags", hips, thighs and abdomen. The most common areas treated for men are "love handles", double chins, and abdomen.
The procedure is performed by inserting a suction tube into the fatty area through a tiny incision, placed in an inconspicuous location. The fluid filling Tumescent Technique is always employed by Dr. Hiatt. Ultrasound or even power assist devices are sometimes utilized in conjunction with Tumescent when appropriate. The procedure takes 1-3 hours depending on how much is done. Average recovery time back to work is 1 week. However bruising and swelling will resolve more gradually. Email Dr. Hiatt Back to top
