Liposuction

The Liposuction Procedure

Your procedure will be performed at our conveniently located office near San Francisco in Walnut Creek, California. During liposuction, Dr. Mele will first make an incision in the targeted area. A narrow tube, or cannula, is then inserted into the opening and excess fat and tissue are removed. Since the introduction of liposuction to the United States in the early eighties, many new techniques have emerged that are more effective and require less downtime. When you visit our office for a consultation, Dr. Mele will determine if you are a good candidate for liposuction or perhaps another body contouring procedure.
